But I know at least one of readers might say that this is endemic to that environment. And I'd see that point too.

Hmm, As one that knows just about every neighbourhood in Brooklyn, I'd say this is more of a cross between "I'm desperate, a bit kookoo, please notice me!" and "80's here I come!"

Is the black thing a baby holder? Getups like this make me think that perhaps I really know nothing about fashion. At least, I wouldn't want to know if it actually looks like that.
