Kindle, anyone?

Are you a neophiliac and a reading-obsessed individual at the same time? Then you might enjoy the Kindle.
I find it as relevant as the iPod. Learn more about it here.

Are you referring to the Kindle itself, which is hardware agnostic, or the mindset one has when purchasing it?

The Kindle acts as a USB storage device when plugged into a computer so it will pretty much work with anything. The nice thing is you don't need to use a computer with it at all - it can wirelessly shop for and download content from anywhere.

Though I do see the benefits that purchasing a the Kindle would bring I dont think I would ever feel inclined to purchase such a gadget. The Kindle cannot replace going to a coffee shop and taking a book with you that you can hold, through which you can flip the pages , and which you can even smell. (I love the smell of new books!)

It's an apropos invention, totally. It looks a bit bulky but I'm sure they'll improve the form eventually.

So basically any book can be accessed?

I was checking the Kindle out yesterday, and found myself coveting the device. But my major qualm with this first generation Kindle is that it uses DRM technology. I'm hoping they'll do away with that in the next generation, and then I will be first in line to get one.
