"I'm anxious. The moment I buy an Apple product, I know a newer, better version is right around the corner. Slow down, Steve Jobs. I just ordered the Classic. Let me enjoy it for a while. Like a month or so."
Uttered by a loyal Apple user when Jobs announced the new iPod upgrade.

i'm a bit 'anxious' too. Job keeps coming up with new thing. Progress?!
:)
Just because the new thing comes out doesn't mean one HAS to upgrade. The old models still work, don't they?
I agree with both sides, somehow. I just ordered an iPod from Apple.com and even got the personalized engraving and all. It's too new to already have a newer brother out there. But at the same time, 'older' models work just fine.
We shouldn't be ageist towards gadgets now, should we?
A proud user of that very old 2008 model of the Classic! Indeed, Sra, they work just fine.
