Voting is an active expression of appreciation for the right to make public one's voice. I do see it as a sort of Schlegelian fragmentation representing the whole type of thing. While a single vote might not matter in certain parts of the country, according to some, it matters in the bigger scheme of things. If I were a citizen of the US, I would definitely vote whether I lived in Ohio or Idaho.
