Hollywood's Message Re: Voting

The Spielberg-directed ad is called Don't Vote.
It's called an exercise in satire.
What do you think?

This is a good piece.

Kitsch but also well-intended. Overall, it delivers.

Borats's with a flag. I liked it.

It achieves its goal. With a few laughs.

But, really, unless you live in a swing state, I really don't think an individual's vote matters in the presidential election. Sadly. Not that it'll keep me from voting anyway.

Voting is an active expression of appreciation for the right to make public one's voice. I do see it as a sort of Schlegelian fragmentation representing the whole type of thing.
While a single vote might not matter in certain parts of the country, according to some, it matters in the bigger scheme of things.
If I were a citizen of the US, I would definitely vote whether I lived in Ohio or Idaho.
