Plaid is Back?

Tip of the hat to Jenny for the pointer.
She insists that plaid is here to stay. I thought it landed solidly back in 2003 when it trickled down to operations like American Eagle, J Crew and A&F.
A marginal acquaintance noted that plaid is to a day outfit what coffee is to breakfast.I don't concur fully but I appreciate the point.

Sorry for the repeat. But about plaid, I think material plays a role here too. Am I totally off here or are skaters and snowboarders fans of this pattern?

However, to gender this, I'd say it's the pants that in a way androgynize the overall getup.... And plaid never left my closet, either. I'm here and I'm a plaid wearer. :)

I like the "marginal" qualifier on "acquaintance". Did you use this to distance yourself from said acquaintance's plaid lust? ;)

Is the marginal acquaintance full of plaid savoir faire?
