I have always liked Anthony Bourdain.
Scratch that.
I love Bourdain.
He's direct when he needs to be and silently dismissive when he does not seem to care. Check and check.
Consider this conversation that two renowned chefs, Batali and Bourdain are having about food and sociality and see what you make of it.

This is friggin' great!
I also agree with Bourdain. I just don't get people's eroticizing of food. What the heck is that?!
"Hear, hear", Bourdain.
A sense of place could never be irrelevant.
OMG! This is hilarious! I agree. No food in bed. It's NOT a restaurant!
And yet, to some, Bourdain is a radical. HA!

Somehow it makes sense to think you're not just about Bourdain here....
Bourdain all the way.
I don't know where you find this but I know better than now to check Ms. HetPer, I'll tell you that!
I am SO forwarding this to a few certain someones.
I do think that this is very much a cultural issue, as well. I don't see an old school European bringing the menu to the bedroom. No, ain't happening. And might I saw, thank heavens for that!
thx, bri.
Mais, oui, Bourdain. You said it best!
This is more about culture and notions about space than it is about either food or sex.
And yes, I also side with Bourdain. It's disgusting to have a bed that smells of food. Let alone if it has onions, right?
Amen, Bourdain.
Well, Bourdain's whole 'text' and presentation is one I seem to get. I've always enjoyed his form/content choices. It's just one of those things. Glad you enjoyed. I aim to please. Well, occasionally, at least.
This is cracking me up. And while I laugh, I agree.
